Awarded funding for the Youth Music Next Gen scheme
Exciting news no. 2 this week - I’m BUZZING to have been accepted for this rounds ‘Next Gen’ funding from @youthmusic_charity !!
This is for a music/film/documentary collaboration with the lovely @tell.studio that is already well underway, called ‘More Than Just A Van’. More on that later, but I think we are coming up with something pretty thought provoking and different here!
Feeling very grateful for this opportunity - Often feels like a lot of these applications go off and the competition is very strong so it feels amazing to get one accepted! Their next round is open soon so check it out if you are looking for funding for a creative music project.

Live At Leeds Festival Announcement
A few bits of fun news this week - first up to say that me and the band will be playing at @liveatleedsfest this year! The lineup is unreal, so cool to be alongside these artists!

New Television placements, and update!
I haven't been great at updating this news section in a while, but a lot has been going on! It has been nice to get multiple tracks on both BBC's Gardeners World and the Chelsea Flower Shower, CBBC's 'One Zoo Three', and an advert played over 100 times on primetime CBS, during shows such as the Late Late show with James Corden, and the Drew Barrymore show.
I've also released some new music myself with a fully stop motion animated music video (made by myself) and have been giving with my 7 piece bands at festivals such as the Leeds Jazz Fest, and Live at Leeds.

New BBC1 track placement for Morning Live
Lovely to get another BBC1 track placement a few days ago for an interesting feature on Morning Live.
This track is ‘Smooth Talker’ from my most recent ‘Soulful Beats’ album with No Sheet Music.
2 new track placements on BBC 2 and BTSport1
It was great to get two track placements last week, both from my 'Soul Hop' library album with No Sheet Music.
'Hilltop Drive' was placed on the Chelsea Flower Show on BBC 2.
'City Sky' was placed on the 'Fury vs Wilder: The Trilogy' documentary on BTSport1.

New documentary 'Journey to the East' with music by George Bloomfield OUT NOW
It was great working on this project with film-maker George Thompson, and the documentary has been very well received, reaching over 40,000 views in its first week! This was a good challenge that required a range of musical styles, from orchestral arrangements, ambient textures, driving beats and Chinese instrumentation. It was great to be able to record live 'Xiao' flute for this one!

BBC Television placement on MOTDx
It was great to get a track placement on BBC1 for MOTDx, in an interview with England star Jesse Lindgard. 'The track is 'Hazy Dream' taken from my 'Soul Hop' album with No Sheet Music.
Radio track placements
The track ‘Hilltop Drive’ from my ‘Soul Hop’ library album is being used across BBC Radio in an advert for their 'Artists in Residence' series. This can be heard across Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6 Music and the Asian network, broadcasted hourly.
The dutch radio station npo3fm has also been using the whole album extensively.
